What is Website Management and who needs it?
Website Management is what someone or a group does when they run a website. This involves hosting the actual website, keeping content up to date, making sure all pages work, checking for broken links, creating backups, and making sure that your website is always secure. Website Management is not always an easy task and many big companies dedicate a full IT department costing hundreds of thousands of dollars every year. For small to medium size businesses this may not always be an option, this is where MarksPixel comes in, we take care of all these things and integrate solutions that will help you manage your website.
What does MarksPixel do?
MarksPixel gives you the full package when it comes to Website Management. All features described here are included in any of our Website Management plans, the difference between our different plans is the quality of the support, response time, and hosting (Shared or Dedicated Server). When you first buy one of our Website Management plans we will first design a website (may include extra cost) for you or transfer your current site to our servers completely free. If necessary we will look through your whole website for any broken links, missing images, errors and potential errors and fix them for you. We will also make suggestions on how you can improve your site, if we think you need to, improvements can usually be done free however some things may come at an extra cost. We only offer the best security for our servers and backups are done on a weekly basis.
Hosting
All our Website Management plans come with hosting included, you will have full access to your own control panel with unlimited email accounts and lots of extra features to run your site, we run WHM and Cpanel on our servers. Our Minimal and Intermediate plans use shared hosting where as our exclusive Carbon Plan has its own Dedicated Server for each client. Updating Content
When you need content on your site updated, like text and images, we are here to make the changes, usually within 24 hours of your initial request. We can also integrate your site into a Content Management System such as WordPress or Joomla to make changes easier for you to do. These content Management Systems utilize text editors and other neat scripts to make editing your website as easy as editing a word document.
Security and Functionality
We will periodically check your website to make sure that all your pages and any scripts you run are secure. Broken, outdated, or missing links are a common problem on websites and we make sure that this does not happen to you.
